Getting Started
🔍 Finding a Game
Tap the Find tab and tell Pocket Felt what you have, how many players are at the table, the vibe you're going for, and how much time you have. Tap Find Games to see matches from the library.
📚 The Library
The Library tab shows all 54 games. Filter by Cards, Dice, or Saved, or use the search bar. Tap any game for full rules.
🗒️ Score Pads
- Start a score pad from any game's detail page, or tap + in the Scores tab.
- You can save up to 3 score pads at a time.
- Tap a round row to edit scores. Use the ± button for negative scores (needed for Spades, etc.).
- Games with a fixed round count (Golf, Yacht, Chicago, Balut) track progress automatically and declare a winner after the final round.
- While scoring, tap the book icon in the toolbar to read the rules without leaving the pad.
🎲 Dice Roller
- The Dice tab gives you a standalone virtual dice roller, available any time.
- Tap any die to hold it between rolls — useful for games like Yahtzee or Farkle.
- Use the − / + stepper to change how many dice you're rolling (1–12).
- When scoring a dice game, a 🎲 button appears in the toolbar of the score pad so you can roll without leaving the card.
- The dice roller is a one-time in-app purchase. Tap Unlock on the Dice tab to get it.
⭐️ Saving Favourites
Tap the star in the top-right corner of any game's detail page to save it. Access your saved games from the Saved filter in the Library.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can I only save 3 score pads?
Pocket Felt is designed to keep things simple. Three pads covers most game nights — one active game, one in progress, one waiting. Delete a finished pad to make room for a new one.
The winner banner never appeared on my Golf / Chicago / Balut pad.
These games end after a set number of rounds (Golf = 9, Chicago = 11, Balut = 28, Yacht = 12). Once you enter the last round, the winner banner appears automatically. Make sure you've added all rounds — the header shows your progress, e.g., "7 / 9 rounds."
How do I enter a negative score (Spades, Rummy, etc.)?
In the round editor, tap the ± button to the left of the score field to toggle the sign. The numeric keyboard stays — no need to switch to a full keyboard.
Can I change the win direction (high vs low) after creating a pad?
Not after creation. Delete the pad and create a new one with the correct direction. When starting from a game's detail page, the direction is pre-filled from the game's rules.
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No. Pocket Felt works entirely offline. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, and no data is ever sent off your device.
Where does my data go if I delete the app?
All score pads and favourites are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults storage. Deleting the app removes that data permanently. iCloud sync is not currently supported.
How do I unlock the Dice Roller?
Tap the Dice tab and then tap the Unlock button. It's a one-time purchase — no subscription. Once unlocked it works for every dice game in the library, forever.
I purchased the Dice Roller but it's not showing up.
Tap About → Restore Purchases. This re-checks your App Store purchase history and restores the unlock. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to buy it.
A rule seems wrong. How do I report it?
All games in Pocket Felt use public-domain rules written fresh for the app. If you spot an error or have a clarification, please email us — we take accuracy seriously and will update the rules in the next release.
